Family Service Project

Bring your family this Thanksgiving (Wednesday November 27 in the afternoon through Saturday November 30 at noon) for a Service Project in Ciudad Acuña, Mexico.
We will be joining the nonprofit organization Paper Houses across the Border to visit the families of the "colonias", meet with them, learn from them, and find out what they need in order to improve their lives. Direct contact with the poor people across the border is an invaluable experience for adults and children alike. Giving our time and our compassion does not only help these poor families but it enriches our lives tremendously, makes us value what we have and focus on what is really important in life. This service project is especially good for adolescents and young adults (families with children 10 and up are welcomed).

Things to have in mind:
- Spots are limited and are first come first served.
- Only families with children 10 and up are accepted at this time.
- You don't need to speak Spanish in order to come.
- A donation to Paper Houses across the Border of $100 is required to register in order to hold your spot and avoid last minute cancellations. They are waiting for us!
- YOU MAKE YOUR OWN LODGING RESERVATION for three nights in Del Rio, TX. Suggested hotels: Hampton Inn and Suites or Holiday Inn Express. (The sooner you make the reservation the better deal you get). Check in: November 27 - Check out: November 30
- EVERYONE IN YOUR FAMILY NEEDS A VALID PASSPORT or PASSPORT CARD (more info)
